I have a strong interest in helping individuals in the midst of a life transition find vision and greater meaning for their lives. Life transitions can range from the dark and difficult times to the excitement of new opportunities (e.g. new relationship, new school, new career). As a licensed clinical psychologist with a masters degree in theology, I enjoy bringing together the personal ways individuals construct their lives with the larger body of knowledge achieved through clinical training and the current and evolving knowledge base of the psychology field.
I began my practice after a 13-year career working with college students in higher education through counseling, advising and administration. I served as the director of counseling at Oxford College of Emory University for five years, the director of personal counseling at Agnes Scott College for four years and as an associate dean of students at Agnes Scott College for four years. I have also taught and supervised graduate students in counseling and clinical psychology. Prior to my work in higher education, I worked in a hospital setting providing outpatient and inpatient care and consultation services.
Please explore this website to find out about the counseling, education and career planning and consultation services I offer. My educational and career coaching services can be provided in person or long distance via internet and over the phone. I hope this website will provide you with the information you need if not please feel free to contact me by phone or email for further information.
